Five Years Later...

We started this blog when we went to the Ukraine to adopt our daughter Elizabeth in 2005. Five years later we are loving life with our daughter (now 6) and our son, Chris (23). Tom continues to farm and I have the wonderful job of a stay-at-home mother and farm-wife. God has truly blessed us with two wonderful kids, a great new home, all while being surrounded by a terrific family, friends, and church family!

We see the pictures fine. Beatuiful is an understatement!! I don't know how you can get more beautiful but I know she is. I think she almost looks like Danielle. There is some resemblance with the dark hair and eyes. She does look like the Hagans. You made a great choice!
Thank God for all of his answered prayers. I hope the paperwork goes as planned.
Enjoy your time. It will fly by now that you want to spend as much as possible with Elizabeth.

Hi Tom, Valerie and Victoria,
Great news. Victoria is very beautiful and I think her name is perfect. She does look like Tom. I am sure it is all overwelming for her and she will soon come around. Now your days will be even more fulfilled with sigh seeing and visiting Victoria. Glad you have a diferent place. You need to be comfortable and stay healthy. I checked this site this morning and nothing yet then so now I need to call Gary and give him the good news. He will be home Friday thru Sunday and I am taking Saturday off to spend time with him. We will give you a call this weekend. You all are so blessed and our prayers are with you for your return home. Keep up with the pictures.

Congratulations! Well worth the wait! She is so beautiful and she looks SO HEALTHY! Enjoy getting to know her while you are in Ukraine. One thing I wish I would have done is to talk with Jack's caretakers and journal any messages from them, that might be nice for Elizabeth. Best of luck on the 2nd half of your journey. Send our love to Marina!

I have been keeping updated through Machelle at work and just wanted to congratulate you. This morning before leaving for the college fair Chris was in my office and we logged on to see if there was anything new. Hope he can get to a computer soon if he hasn't already. What a beautiful family you have. God Bless and hope you are all reunited soon.

Hagans,
'Aunt' Machelle was so excited today when I picked up the girls at school. We were at the buses and she holloered at me. She had the pictures printed and showed them to me. I could have cried-she's a gorgeous child. Yes she resembles her daddy and Danielle. I feel very fortunate to have Machelle and Cedda to keep us informed. Cedda keeps you on our prayer list at church. She too stopped by after work just to show Elizabeth off. I hated to tell her I'd already seen the beautiful pictures! Good news travels fast!
May the Lord continue to bless you on your journey and bring you all home safely where you belong.
WHAT A HOMECOMING YOU WILL HAVE!!!

Hey Sis and Tom,
Just got in and seen the pictures, what a cutie. She will be pretty close in age to Jake so they can play together. Guess we're all wondering how much more of a process there is to go and when you all will be back home. Know all those days of waiting after you were there had to be hard. Checked with Karen a couple times a day waiting for the news. Congratulations, We'll be checking for more pictures soon.
Love,
Gary & Karen
