Welcome to our adoption story, which officially begins when we jet off to the Ukraine to meet our daughter, Elizabeth Marie, on Oct. 15th 2005. We hope to keep our family and friends up to date with our daily activities through this blog (stands for web log). We are very blessed to have wonderful support systems...our loving family, friends, and our church family. We want to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns since we began this process in August, 2004 and as we continue our journey.
Five Years Later...
We started this blog when we went to the Ukraine to adopt our daughter Elizabeth in 2005. Five years later we are loving life with our daughter (now 6) and our son, Chris (23). Tom continues to farm and I have the wonderful job of a stay-at-home mother and farm-wife. God has truly blessed us with two wonderful kids, a great new home, all while being surrounded by a terrific family, friends, and church family!

All dressed and ready to spend the day at Grant's Farm. This was the first time any of us had ever been. We had a great day. It was a little on the warm side, but we had a nice breeze and was cool in the shade. We took Elizabeth's stroller and she rode in it a little, but she liked to push it more than ride in it. She liked the animals as long as there was a fence between her and them. She actually held food in her little hand and let a huge camel eat it. She pet a gigantic Clydsdale horse and stood in front of it to get her picture taken. She's a brave girl. But then later, we went to visit Tom's aunt and uncle and his cousin Sue was there with her dog Molly and Elizabeth was too scared to pet little ol' Molly (because there wasn't a fence between her and Molly, ha ha!). Anyway, it was a great day! Cheap too. Grant's Farm is free except the $8 fee to park.
